100 CALLS OF ADVENTURE

Why do we travel? Why do we wander out there, explore, and conquer? What are we looking for? Through words of different people I meet on the road, here I bring up their calls of Adventures.

I MET SAWANG IN PANAMA, AT NOMAD HOSTAL. HE WAS BICYCLING FROM ARGENTINA TO MEXICO, BUT STOPPED HERE AND GOT EMPLOYED TO WORK ON A COFFEE PLANTATION. COFFEE, AS WELL AS BICYCLING, IS HIS PASSION.

SAWANG THONGDEE

I always hear the call of adventures even when I was a boy. I am more happy when I move around… My life philosophy ‘one life, live it’.

Why do I do it?
My mother died when I was 10, my first girlfriend and true love was killed in a hit and run when I was 23.
These things were heavier than a ton of bricks on me, The latter nearly killed me, its safe to say it broke me, but as they say when you hit rock bottom its a good time to start a new foundation.
Thats just what I did, my first trip created a new want and drive in me, now I'm unstoppable, stronger than ever and I have so much I would like to accomplish but I don’t think there is enough time in the world!!
I’ll finish this by saying,
Now is the time to live, not tomorrow, not next year, not when you get enough money together, the time will never be right, Ever. I live the way I do because of past experiences, They weren’t good ones, but I learnt from them, life is short and life waits for nobody. Live in the now.

I MET IAN IN PANAMA CITY. WE WERE ABOUT TO SHIP OUR MOTORCYCLES ACROSS THE DARIEN GAP ON THE SAME YACHT. HE BROUGHT HIS BIKE FROM IRELAND, DROVE ACROSS CANADA, TO THE ARCTIC, AND WAS ON HIS WAY TO THE SOUTH TOO.
